Pflugerville Epoxy Flooring installs epoxy, polyaspartic and polished concrete floors in Pflugerville, TX and across the surrounding communities, and we have been doing it here for more than 20 years. Garages, driveways, pool decks, shops, warehouses and commercial kitchens all get the same treatment from us, which starts with the slab rather than with the product.

Two decades of work on Central Texas concrete is long enough to have gone back to floors we installed a decade ago and seen which of our own details held. Most of what is on this page came out of that rather than out of a product catalog.

Our Approach

We find out what your slab is sitting on before we quote it. This is Blackland Prairie ground across much of our service area and the clay under it swells and shrinks with the season, which decides the crack detail far more than the choice of product does. We also say plainly what a coating cannot do: it is a film a few thousandths of an inch thick, it follows the slab underneath it, and nothing we install will stop or bridge seasonal ground movement. A crack over moving ground is treated as a joint that is still working rather than filled hard and coated over, and you are told before the job that it can show through again.

Moisture testing goes into the scope as a line item rather than being sold as an extra after a floor has already blistered, and it is written in on a new slab as readily as an old one. A house here is far more likely to be newer than older, and we treat a young slab as a moisture question rather than assuming a new floor is a dry one. Every slab is opened mechanically with a grinder or a shot blaster, we do not acid etch, and we do not put a new coating over an old sealer.

The proposal names the product, the system build and the finished mil thickness, so what you were quoted can be checked against what actually went down. We schedule against the dew point at the slab surface rather than the air temperature, which is why a summer crew starts mid-morning instead of at first light. Warranty exclusions are read out before the job is sold, with substrate movement and moisture named first.

Texas licenses no flooring, coatings or painting contractor, so instead of a license number we show general liability cover, workers compensation and a Texas sales and use tax permit. On a job that crosses a county or city line we confirm which building department has it before the first visit, because this service area covers more than one jurisdiction. And if your slab needs structural repair before it can be coated we say so, and we tell you that foundation work carries its own permit, which a floor coating does not.
